Ongoing!...

Hello Everybody

Just wanted to clarify that this project is STILL ongoing and looking for entries. So please do send a contribution in if you have been thinking of doing so!

The idea is to create a representation of the world through people who know the places.
Think of a village/town/city that you have spent time in. The task is to try and represent it the best you can in one simple book.

The simple rules are:

The book must only be made from one A4 sheet of paper or card (of your choice) and can only be folded into the format you want. Cuts can be made but the sheet must remain relatively whole – so not cut right in half etc.

You can use one or both sides of the sheet and use any media.

Send your book to:

Somethink Collective

97 Benview

Bannockburn

Stirling

UK

Please include your name on your book. And when sending them please include an email address that we can contact you on to inform you of developments.

The books will be collected with the idea of finding exhibiting opportunities.

They will also be uploaded on to the Blog!

Brisbane

This group of books was sent in a little while ago, much to my shame and embarrassment. And it seems that this post will now be tinged with sadness due to the recent events. But I will look at this collection in the spirit they were made - pre-floods. These represent a vibrant and busy mixture of a city! Full of activities and stories represented in these visual collages. Not strictly in keeping with the rules, Brisbane is made up of 4 different books, simply bound, each book with a different vibe. An overload for the senses! in a good way. This artist has a rich story to tell about a city they are obviously extremely fond of.
